L.A. Rams Quarterback Matt Stafford once had a happy life inside a mansion worth $10 million
Matt Stafford, the quarterback for the Los Angeles Rams, and his wife Kelly have purchased a stunning vineyard for $10.5 million in Hidden Hills, California. The property was initially listed for $13.75 million, making it a good deal for the Supeг Bowl champion. This is Stafford’s third residence in the area, having purchased two adjoining properties from rapper Drake last year.
The eight-bedroom mansion sits on a 1.5-acre lot and includes its own boutique winery, known as Wish Vineyards. From its elevated position in Hidden Hills, the red-brick mansion offers city and mountain views and features many luxurious finishes.
Built in 1988 by shopping-center magnate William “Bill” Hayes and his wife Susan, the elegant estate boasts five custom fireplaces, two staircases, coffered ceilings, and 10 bathrooms throughout its 11,320 square feet. After driving down the property’s lengthy driveway, parking is available in the five-car garage or the spacious motor court.
Upon entering the two-story foyer, visitors are greeted with a drɑmɑtic, curved, dark-wood staircase. Nearby, a sunken dining room can be accessed through an arched doorway and features a soaring ceiling. The chef’s kitchen includes high-end appliances, a butler’s pantry, an enormous center island, and a sunlit breakfast room.
The traditional-style home features lots of dark wood and custom built-ins, with floors made of a combination of stone and hardwoods. The library boasts rich, wood-paneled walls, a cathedral ceiling, exposed beams, and French doors that provide natural light. A bar is also present to serve wine from the vineyard.
There are two guest suites on the main floor, while a primary suite upstairs offers garden views and a gorgeous stone bathroom. Four more en suite bedrooms can be found on this level, as well as additional accommodations in the guesthouse and guest quarters above the garage.
Outside, the property boasts a pool, spa, colorful gardens, professionally landscaped grounds, and multiple dining terraces.
