Located in the Mathew Street sector, one of Liverpool’s most renowned areas, is the residence of the national team’s newest addition, Luis Diaz. Despite not being fluent in English, Diaz has been impressing coach Jurgen Klopp, teammates, and fans with his performances. Danny Murphy, a Liverpool legend, recently praised Diaz’s fearlessness, physicality, speed, and work ethic during a FA Cup semifinal match against Manchester City.
Diaz’s transfer to Liverpool was a significant investment, with the club paying about 45 million euros for his pass, making it one of the most expensive signings in the history of Colombian football. In addition, his salary is reportedly around 3.8 million euros per year, excluding bonuses.
Diaz resides in the Mathew Street sector, an exclusive neighborhood valued at over 5.5 million euros, alongside teammates Alisson Becker and Sadio Mane. His house features six rooms, a video game area, a patio with a barbecue, a large garden, large windows, and luxury furniture.
The area is popular with tourists and is home to the famous Cavern Club, which houses various shops and discount stores and hosts an annual festival in August that pays tribute to The Beatles.
On Tuesday, Diaz will participate in his first English derby against Manchester United at Anfield Stadium. Liverpool’s victory would place them in a good position in the English championship race, while Manchester United needs to win to add pressure to the fight for direct UEFA Champions League spots next season.
