Tour break: Beyoncé beamed on Monday while enjoying a break from her The Formation World Tour in New York City

Beyoncé had her hair gathered in a low messy bun and added some flair with a black leather beret.

She carried a bright yellow purse with black detailing and beamed as she enjoyed time off from her The Formation World Tour.

Jay Z, 46, kept it casual while visiting an art gallery in the SoHo neighbourhood.

The rapper and music mogul showed his lean frame in a white short-sleeved Henley shirt that he teamed with cream-coloured cargo pants and white sneakers.

The Roc Nationfounder accessorised with black sunglasses.

Beyoncé started her The Formation World Tour on April 27 in Miami and it concludes on October 2 in Nashville.

She performed last week in New York City at Citi Field and included a tribute to Prince on what would have been the late singer’s 58th birthday.

Beyoncé later filled the stadium with Purple Rain but instead of singing let the audience sing along.

The singer earlier this month was honoured with the Fashion Icon Award at the CFDA Fashion Awards in New York City.
