Wendy Williams always has an opinion or two when it comes to awards season style.

And even when she likes your red carpet attire, you’d better be prepared for a roasting.

The chat show queen laid into Scarlett Johansson over her extensive back tattoos, calling her body art ‘filthy’.

On Monday’s edition of The Wendy Williams Show, the 55-year-old was joined by her Style Squad – Bevy Smith, Lloyd Boston and Robert Verdi – to discuss their favourite looks from the Oscars red carpet.

And while the group was loving ScarJo’s metallic silver Oscar de la Renta gown, Wendy was not as enamoured by the large series of roses on the actress’s back, which were exposed by the strapless cut of the dress.

As a picture showed the back view, Wendy winced and said: ‘The tattoos, are those real?’

Bevy replied: ‘Yeah those are real. That trails somewhere real nice I bet.’

The squad began to resume their discussion of the dress, before Wendy quipped: ‘Tattoos though… they’re filthy on the back.’

She added: ‘I’m judging. I have tattoos too, I judge every time I get out of the shower.’

The star previously said of inkings: ‘I’m not really one that likes tattoos. I still stand by that.

‘I don’t particularly like that one, but I’d rather have that than the cut.’

Scarlett, 35, has plenty of inkings – as well as the rose design on her back, there is also a lamb tattooed under her shoulder blade, and there’s another flower on her side.

The actress – who was nominated for both Marriage Story and Jojo Rabbit at the Oscars – also has a large owl on her rib cage, a horseshoe on her side, an Avengers logo on her arm, a bracelet design around her wrist, interlocking circles on her ankle and a multicoloured sunset on her forearm.

If it’s any consolation to Scarlett, Wendy also ripped into Blac Chyna’s tattoos, after the reality star made a surprise appearance at the Oscars.

Wendy said: ‘I’m still trying to figure out how Blac Chyna got an invitation to the Oscars. I love Blac Chyna but like, how was she there?

‘To me she looks really good… other than the tattoos. That’s a seedy thing to me.’

So we’re guessing Wendy wouldn’t be into Presley Gerber’s face tattoo, then…
