Beyonce embraces metallic temporary tattoo trend as she boards private jet in Nice with Jay Z and Blue Ivy

She is one of the world’s foremost style trendsetters.

But Beyonce was more of a slave to fashion on Wednesday.

The 33-year-old showed off her metallic temporary tattoos – a trend already embraced by the likes of Alessandra Ambrosio and Aerin Lauder – as she boarded a private jet with husband Jay Z and daughter Blue Ivy in Nice, perhaps headed for Paris where the couple will next be performing.

The Crazy In Love singer wore a short patterned skirt paired with a floral Burning Torch top, green high heels and a pair of Le Specs sunglasses.

The star sported gold and silver body art, a new trend that has become the latest beauty-and-fashion phenomenon, according to Vogue.

The temporary tattoos are meant to mimic jewellery, and take just 10 minutes to set after being stenciled on with water.

The trend isn’t quite new. According to Lucky magazine, Dior designed a $120 limited-edition set of cuffs, earrings, chokers and bracelets made of 24-carat gold in 2012.

But the tattoo-as-jewellery didn’t really take off until a few months ago, when brands like Flash Tattoos designed more affordable options, and the fashion elite took note.

Beyonce has sported various iterations of the body art while on holiday in Europe, including gold necklaces and bracelets, and even peacock feathers on her hip.

Jay Z, meanwhile, held their two-year-old daughter close as he climbed aboard the plane.

He wore black tracksuit pants and black socks pulled up his calf, paired with a white T-shirt.

His daughter looked adorable as always in a cream lace dress and leopard print shoes.

The power couple have been enjoying a holiday in the South of France to ring in Beyonce’s 33rd birthday with their respective families – with Beyonce’s 60-year-old mother Tina and her boyfriend along for the ride.

Jay’s mother Gloria Carter was also on hand to help out with Blue Ivy and a few other youngsters enjoying the vacation.

The group were enjoying the luxurious surroundings of the Alfa Nero – one of the world’s biggest super yachts.

Their ride: The couple’s boat was a step down from the luxury yacht they’ve been holidaying on the past week

The yacht can host up to 12 guests and 26 crew members and features a whopping 1,250 feet of living space.

According to Superyachts.com, it includes a gym, three separate dining areas, a dance room, pantries on the three guest decks, massage room and a 7 x 3.5m glass-ended swimming pool whose floor can be partially or fully raised, transforming it into a dance floor or helipad on demand.

Beyonce celebrated her birthday five days ago, posting a thank you message to well wishers who included First Lady Michelle Obama.

The Knowles-Carters are likely to stick around Europe for at least another week due to the two upcoming Paris dates of their On the Run tour on September 12 and 13, which are being filmed for their September 20 HBO concert special.
