Brad Pitt’s side responded to Angelina Jolie’s accusations of using a confidentiality agreement to control his ex-wife and cover up violent acts.
According to Page Six, on April 5, Brad Pitt’s lawyer submitted documents to the Los Angeles Superior Court, responding to Angelina Jolie’s accusations. Previously, the star said that her ex-husband forced her to sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) as an unconscionable attempt to control her after the breakup, covering up his history of abusing his wife and children.
Pitt denied this, and said that Jolie’s refusal to sign the NDA was just an excuse for her to rationalize her betrayal of her ex-husband in abandoning negotiations to sell shares of the ChΓ’teau Miraval winery.
The legal team argued that Pitt and Jolie had committed not to transfer shares of the estate to a third party without the consent of one of them. However, in 2021, star Maleficent sold all her shares. (50%) to tycoon Yuri Shefler for $60 million without prior discussion with her ex-husband.

In addition to the request to sign an information confidentiality contract during divorce negotiations, Pitt said his ex-wife also signed many other NDA contracts with employees and maids because she did not want any information to leak out.
John Berlinski – Pitt’s lawyer – spoke about this: “If Angelina asked her staff to sign an NDA to keep information about her home private, as well as how she treated Brad and the children, that could potentially “The potential will prove whether Angelina really thinks Brad’s proposed confidentiality terms are ‘unconscionable’.”
Regarding the accusation on April 4, when Jolie accused Pitt of mistreating her children before the 2016 flight, Pitt’s lawyer emphasized that this information was not related to the ongoing dispute. They just want to focus on clarifying Jolie’s behavior in the sale of the estate in France.
Currently, Jolie has not given any further feedback after her ex-husband spoke up.
Recently, Pitt has continuously filed lawsuits against his ex-wife in Luxembourg, California, and France in the ChΓ’teau Miraval estate case and has initially won in all three places. According to Page Six, the actor spent more than $10 million on lawyer fees, but the actor believes that it is not a waste of money.
