Kelly Rowland only has good things to say about former bandmate Beyonce‘s daughter Blue Ivy Carter‘s work ethic.

Speaking with E! News, the 42-year-old Destiny’s Child alumna gushed about the 11-year-old, who’s been performing alongside her mom this summer: ‘I’m very proud. She works very freaking hard, period.’

Then, referencing Beyonce and her husband Jay-Z, Kelly added: ‘But how could she not, you know?

She sees her mother in action and she sees her father in action and how they apply everything, hard work to everything that they do.’

Blue first captivated audiences when she took the stage in Paris this past May, showing off her dance skills on her mom’s Renaissance World Tour.

The Texas native also expressed feeling grateful to experience parenthood at the same time as her friends.

‘I have a really great tribe from my sisters of Destiny’s Child, of course. Ciara, LaLa [Anthony],’ she gushed.

‘It’s very beautiful and wild that we’re all having babies around the same time and growing up together as mothers.

‘And my friends who are like family as well and who have older kids and are able to actually prep me. I’m like, “Guys, what does 8 look like? Or what is 9?” the mother-of-two said.

The Motivation songstress shares two sons — Titan, eight, and Noah, two — with husband Tim Weatherspoon.

She revealed that her firstborn has a crush on Halle Bailey as she shared, ‘He’s watched The Little Mermaid way too many times and, as much as I love Halle, she’s in my house every day.

‘Every time she comes on screen his whole face just lights up. I’m like, “Wait a second, are you looking at her like the way you look at me?” I’m like, “I’m your number one girl.”

‘But I mean, she is a beauty. I think that’s his first crush.’

Last month Rowland confessed that accidentally revealing Blue’s gender before she was born still haunts her.

The admission was made by the singer during an appearance on songwriter and music producer Billy Mann’s ‘Yeah, I F*cked That Up’ podcast.

‘When I told the 𝑠e𝑥 of Beyoncé’s [first] baby when she was pregnant with Blue. It was like the worst moment ever,’ Rowland answered when asked about the biggest mistake she ever made in an interview.

Kelly inadvertently let the detail slip during a red carpet interview in London with Bang Showbiz in October 2011.
