A source told The Sun: ‘Nella and Frankie’s trial fell flat. No coins or stars.
‘What’s worse backstage is it was a two-month build to create that set and it’s resulted in a s*** trial.
‘Her going back empty handed — and this awful weather — have left a real sense of misery.’
Nella previously said she didn’t want to be the ‘first’ to leave the jungle and would be ‘right behind’ Jamie Lynn if she were to go.
And now Grace has departed on medical grounds, the groundwork seems to have been laid for Nella to follow suit.
Meanwhile Jamie Lynn has made no secret of how tough she is finding the show, bursting into tears on Tuesday’s episode after being given a small square of chocolate.
Britney’s sister has also had multiple meltdowns about missing her children and family back home.
During Tuesday’s trial, Nella failed to open any of the padlocks as snakes slithered around her.

She was then left with an even bigger shock when one snake clamped its teeth onto her T-Shirt and rangers had to step in.
The episode ended with news Nella had been rushed out of camp to see a medic and was exempt from the next trial.
She was noticeably absent in tonight’s live segment of the show which was filmed between 7am and 8am on Tuesday morning in Australia – as fans began to fear for her future on the show.
As she landed back in Heathrow on Tuesday, Grace appeared to be feeling the strain of the 24-hour flight home.
Despite her early exit, ITV will still pay Grace her full fee, reported to be £100,000, as rules state a celebrity will be paid in full if they stay in camp for at least 72 hours.
During Monday’s episode of I’m A Celeb, Grace left her campmates in tears with a heartbreaking goodbye letter.
Fans had been left concerned for her after she had begun to look ‘scarily unwell’ during her time in the jungle – and it was announced she had quit the show for good earlier on Monday.
On Sunday evening Grace was nominated for latest trial Down The Tubes with This Morning host Josie Gibson, only to pull out on medical grounds.
She left a farewell message for her emotional campmates in the form of a laminated letter, which was read aloud by a teary Nick Pickard.
Grace admitted she believed she had ‘let down’ her campmates and said her heart was ‘broken’ following her exit as the campmates found out she had left the jungle for the first time.
The full statement read: ‘My Dear campmates, I’m so sorry to let you down. I have left the camp for medical reasons.
‘My heart is broken, I have loved and enjoyed getting to know you all. You’ve held me up and it’s been a pleasure being your friend through this experience.
‘Leaving you all at this stage will be one of the saddest things in my life. I love you all. Your friend, Miss Grace Dent.’
