Steph Curry Praises 1 Warriors Player Amid Fluctuating Role

When Kevon Looney was a high school player, he was considered the next Kevin Durant, thanks to his amazing speed and ability to knock down three-pointers with ease.

However, since coming to the NBA, Looney hasn’t been able to use that skill.

It’s not that he knowingly held back that part of his game, Looney’s game was simply ruined due to multiple hip injuries.

Despite that, Looney has spent his entire career with the Golden State Warriors after being drafted by the team in the 2015 NBA Draft.

While many may have looked over Looney’s accomplishments for the Warriors, Stephen Curry recently gave the veteran center his flowers via Warriors on NBCS on Twitter.

“Don’t let anyone take for granted what Loon does,” Curry said.

Stephen Curry pointed out that what Kevon Looney does for the Golden State Warriors should never be taken for granted by anyone in the world.

Looney may not stuff the box score each night, but he gets the job done for the Warriors when it matters the most.

This season, Looney is averaging 5.4 points, 7.9 rebounds, and 2.7 assists per game for the Warriors while playing 21.4 minutes per game.

In the Warriors’ most recent win against the Portland Trail Blazers, Looney put up 6 points, 11 rebounds, and 7 assists for the team.

Following the terrific win, the Warriors are now the 10th seed in the Western Conference with a 15-14 record.

The Warriors are currently on a five-game winning streak and will face off against the Denver Nuggets on Christmas Day.
