With only a 40% Rotten Tomatoes score, Maleficent 2 grossed $491.7 million while needing more than $500 million to make a profit. Meanwhile, Eternals earned $402 million and became the first Marvel Cinematic Universe blockbuster to suffer a loss since The Incredible Hulk (2008).
