The singer had been the most-nominated artist at this year’s Grammys and when it came to scooping up gongs, she certainly didn’t disappoint.

The 39-year-old had been nominated for awards in nine categories prior to the ceremony and walked away with four titles, taking her overall tally to 28.

She shared the prize of Best Rap Performance with Megan Thee Stallion as the pair made history of their own by becoming the first female duo to win the award.

The former Destiny’s Child star picked up her 28th Grammy award – making her the singer with the most wins ever.

Beyoncé won the award for best R&B performance for Black Parade, meaning she is now the most successful winner in Grammys history, male or female.

And she certainly radiated that girl boss energy when out with her rapper husband at the awards ceremony.

Taking to the stage to accept her award, the mum-of-three paid tribute to her children as her eldest daughter Blue Ivy Carter also left the ceremony with her own Grammy.

The nine-year-old became a Grammy-winner for her feature on her mum’s song Brown Skin Girl.

Picking up her gong, Beyoncé hugged Jay-Z – whom she tied the knot with in 2008 – before delivering an emotional acceptance speech.

“I am so honoured, I am so excited. As an artist I believe it’s my job and all of our jobs to reflect the times,” she said on stage.

She went on: “And it’s been such a difficult time so I wanted to uplift, encourage, celebrate all of the beautiful black queens and kings that continue to inspire me and inspire the whole world.

“This is so overwhelming. I have been working my whole life, since nine years old and I can’t believe this happened, it’s such a magical night. Thank you so much.”

Beyoncé and Jay-Z then went on to celebrate the historic night at an ultra-fancy Italian hotspot in Beverly Hills.
