Paris Saint Germain are said to be preparing for the prospect of Mbappe leaving for Real Madrid with a replacement already identified.
According to Football Espana, striker Kylian Mbappe is expected to decide on his future in the coming weeks . The 25-year-old’s contract with PSG expires at the end of the season, meaning he can now negotiate with other clubs, one of which is Real Madrid.
Los Blancos have been trying to sign Mbappe for years and although they were unsuccessful. But 2024 could bring a big turning point, although it is not certain which club Mbappe will decide to play for next season.
But according to The Athletic, PSG is not too confident in retaining Mbappe. They have now identified a potential replacement for the French superstar as Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford.

In fact, PSG had the idea of recruiting Rashford since 2022 but eventually shelved it because they successfully retained the French superstar. That shows that the French club has always been preparing for a life without Mbappe.
However, Rashford is not in good form this season. Statistics show that the player born in 1997 has only scored 5 goals in 27 appearances in all competitions for Man Utd since the beginning of the season. This number is far less than Mbappe’s 28 goals in 27 matches for PSG.
However, PSG believes that Rashford has great talent and also has a very similar playing style to Mbappe, so he would be a reasonable choice to replace the France captain. This could be a sign of hope that Real Madrid will have a great opportunity to own Mbappe this summer.
For their part, Real Madrid was revealed by Marca newspaper that they had begun thinking about a new galaxy squad with Kylian Mbappe, Jude Bellingham and Vinicius Junior… However, the outcome of the deal was a lot of ink. This will only be clear after this season ends.
