Kim Kardashian and her son, Saint, announced the location of the U.S.M.N.T.’s first 2026 World Cup match: SoFi Stadium – home of the NFL’s Chargers and Rams – in Los Angeles, as she admits she’ll be ‘the most embarrassing soccer mom on the planet’ during the tournament.
On Sunday, the 43-year-old American socialite appeared on Fox Sports’ broadcast of the tournament’s match scheduling while donning a red and white Adidas tracksuit on top of a white crop.
She admitted to not following soccer as much as her eight-year-old son, who said the player he is excited to see represent the U.S. is Juventus midfielder, Weston McKennie.
The U.S. will start off its World Cup campaign in L.A. on June 12, before playing at Seattle’s Lumen Field – home of the Seahawks – a week later (June 19). Players will then return to the City of Angeles for a third and final group game on June 25.
FIFA President Gianni Infantino also revealed New York City to be the host city of the World Cup final, after much speculation that Dallas’ Cowboys (AT&T) Stadium could be where the biggest game in international soccer is played. MetLife Stadium in New Jersey – home of the Jets and Giants – is where the final will be played on July 19.

New York/New Jersey will also hold a Round of 32 match, as well as as Round of 16 game.
Miami’s Hard Rock Stadium will take center stage for the tournament’s third-place match, while Atlanta, Houston, Dallas, Vancouver and Seattle will be the only cities other than New York to have both, Round of 32 and Round of 16, matches.
Philadelphia and Mexico City will also each respectively host a Round of 16 match, while Boston, Toronto, Miami, Kansas City, Monterrey and San Francisco have all been included as venues for Round of 32 games.
Dallas and L.A. are the only cities to host two Round of 32 matches. AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas has the most matches of any venue (9). FIFA officials did not care to publicly explain their site-decision process.
Quarterfinal games will be played in Kansas City, L.A., Miami, and Boston, while Dallas and Atlanta have been booked as locations for two semifinal matchups.
Mexico City’s Estadio Azteca will host the opening match of tournament on June 11 when Mexico will become the first nation to stage the World Cup for a third time after hosting the 1970 and 1986 editions. El Tri will play its second group game in Guadalajara before returning to the country’s capital for a third and final first-round match.

FIFA expanded the 2026 World Cup, which will last 39 days (June 11-July 19), from 32 to 48 nations and increased matches from 64 to 104. The 2026 tournament will be co-hosted by the U.S., Mexico and Canada, with all games from the quarterfinals on being played in the U.S. FIFA announced the 16 sites in 2022.
Canada will play its opening first-round match in Toronto on June 12, then its following two games in Vancouver, British Columbia.
FIFA did not announce kickoff times for any matches. The 1994 World Cup – the last to be played in North America – started at 12:30 p.m. PDT (3:30 p.m. EDT and 9:30 p.m. in Central Europe) but the start has been moved up in recent years as Asia’s TV market become more significant to FIFA.
The 2022 final in Qatar started at 5 p.m. local time (10 a.m. EDT, 4 p.m. in Central Europe and 10 p.m. in Beijing).
