Lionel Messi could only smile at Jordi Alba after seeing his Inter Miami teammate miss two consecutive penalties.
On the afternoon of February 7, Inter Miami had a friendly match with Vissel Kobe Club at Japan National Stadium. Here witnessed the return of Lionel Messi after he only played 13 minutes in the last 2 friendly matches due to injury.
The two teams were tied after 90 minutes of official competition and had to enter a penalty shootout to determine the winner. Vissel Kobe was the side that performed better in the series and won 4-3 .
Messi did not participate in the penalty shootout for Inter Miami, but he still created a highlight with his humorous reaction after witnessing midfielder Rob Taylor miss two consecutive shots.

Specifically, in the 4th shot when Inter Miami had a chance to take a 4-3 lead in the penalty shootout. Rob Taylor took the kick too lightly for the goalkeeper to easily save.
The referee then lets the player try again when determining that the goalkeeper has moved before the ball is kicked. However, Rob Taylor then kicked straight into the crossbar.
This poor penalty kick situation made Messi just smile at his friend Jordi Alba. After Rob Taylor, Inter Miami missed the next two shots and had to lose to Vissel Kobe.
