Michael Inching Closer To Becoming The Man He Never Wanted To Be, His Father

General Hospital (GH) spoilers report Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) has never wanted to be in the business with his father.

Not only has he never taken pride in the kind of work his father engages in, but he’s always longed for a more normal family — and one that he can keep safe.

Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) has been in the mob for more than thirty years, and in that time, he’s managed to rise to the very top of it.

He is the mob boss the other mob bosses fear, but as he continues to make enemies like Selina Wu (Lydia Look) and crumble under the pressure of not having anyone to trust, it may become more apparent than ever that he needs someone in his circle who is going to truly look out for him. Is Michael the perfect person?

General Hospital Spoilers — Sonny Corinthos Is Slipping

Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) wasn’t wrong for wanting Michael and Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) to keep an eye on Sonny’s business and make sure he wasn’t making any grave errors that could land him in trouble.

She knew he didn’t come back from Nixon Falls as quite the same person he was before. If he had still had Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) at his side, things may have been different. But the last two years have given Sonny ample time to make quite a mess of things.

He has formed the wrong alliances and lost it at times that he shouldn’t have. Will Michael be able to step in and save him from himself without sacrificing his own family?

GH Spoilers – Tease Willow Tait Is Full Of Surprises

Not only was MIchael taken aback to find that Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) was not only willing to help Jason Morgan (Steve Burton), but happy to do it, but he’s going to be floored when she encourages him to embrace helping his father with the business.

This shouldn’t be that surprising though. When Michael was plotting revenge against his father, Willow wanted nothing more than for him to lay down his arms. When he was prepared to do that, but not open to having a relationship with Sonny, Willow pushed for more.

She was a sounding board of reason that seemed to understand there was no changing who Sonny was or what he did at this point in his life.

So she accepted him, illegal business activities and all. Will she accept her husband doing the same?

General Hospital Spoilers — The Natural Order of Things

It seems like a natural event for Sonny’s kin to take over the business when it’s time for him to phase out of it. Like it or not, that time may be coming sooner than many of us think.

Maybe the next several years are a training ground for Michael learning the ins and outs of what Sonny does well enough to take up the mantle when his father is ready to retire, more or less.

After all, someone has to keep Sonny’s family safe when he passes on someday. We’ve heard continually how dangerous life is for his loved ones if he’s locked up or dead.

The last time he was thought to be gone for good, Carly had to jump into his role to keep everyone else alive. Is it Michael’s turn now? Stay tuned for more GH news and spoilers to find out.

Net zero is no longer mere policy. It has mutated into a religious cult, and Energy Secretary Ed Miliband is its High Priest. All of us are being forced to bow down at its altar, obedient to the cosmic law of decarbonisation. And as a report by the National Energy System Operator [NESO] confirmed yesterday, a huge price will be extracted to enforce our obedience. That price is likely to include swingeing financial penalties for ordinary households that dare to consume electricity at peak times. Heating your home, running a dishwasher or washing machine, watching TV or simply boiling a kettle will become far more expensive.
