Ebanie Bridges has hit back at trolls who claim Conor McGregor only sponsored her because she has ‘t**s and blonde hair’, with the Aussie beauty opening on her new business partnership.
Bridges, 37, has been out of action this year owing to a hand injury, but is set to return next weekend on the undercard of Devin Haney vs Regis Prograis in San Francisco.
But while she has been recovering from surgery, Bridges has been busy making business moves, with the Australian becoming one of the faces of McGregor’s Forged Irish Stout brand.
The 37-year-old has attended fight nights with the UFC superstar, dressed in promotional attire, and explained that the Irishman is ‘smart’ for choosing to sponsor boxing events.
‘He’s smart getting into boxing, because if you think about it, there’s fights nearly every weekend. He’s sponsoring the shows and he sponsors a lot of other boxers,’ she told Lucky Block.
Ebanie Bridges insists Conor McGregor hasn’t sponsored her just because she has ‘t**s and blonde hair’
The 37-year-old has earned plenty of sponsorship deals since moving to the UK
‘I love that he’s giving back to the boxing community. I love that he’s giving back to combat sports, because he could just keep all that money, but he’s giving back and you don’t have to do that.
‘I’ve seen some comments online saying, ‘You need to have t**s and blonde hair to get sponsored.’ I reply, ‘I think he pretty much sponsors every single boxer on all the shows.’ They’ve all got a partnership with Forged Stout.’
Bridges added that she finds McGregor ‘inspiring’ and will seek to learn from the Irishman as she looks to expand her business portfolio after retiring from boxing. She currently has a highly-successful OnlyFans account, but is targeting more ventures.
‘Obviously, mine and his collaboration is a little bit deeper,’ she said. ‘I’m a face for Forged Stout now. I can learn a lot from him {Conor McGregor} as well for when I finish boxing – and what he’s doing in business, I think is really inspiring.
‘It was natural and we’ll be working together for the remainder of my career. We work really well together. I’m great for his brand and he’s great for my brand, and we get along really well.’
Bridges says she wants to learn from UFC superstar McGregor and praised his business sense
As for McGregor’s next fight, details remain unknown to fight fans. Bridges admitted she is not aware of who the Irishman will face next, but believes she shares a similar approach to training with the former two-weight world champion.
‘I don’t know who {McGregor’s next opponent} will be, but I know he’s training. I’ve seen clips of him training and he’s busy in the gym. I don’t know if he puts it on his socials. I don’t really look at his social pages, but I’ve seen some of his training stuff that he’s done.
‘I think he’s a little bit like me. When we go to the gym, we just train. I don’t need to put it all over my socials that I’m training. Some people like to get on their phone in the gym and record their workouts. I know fans like to see it, but when I get in the gym, I put my head down and I want to train.’
