Wednesday: Batting third as the designated hitter, he went 2 for 3 with his first double of the season in a 4-2 loss to the Rays in the series finale. He also walked once in the loss.
Up next: The Angels are off Thursday and will begin a three-game series in Boston at 7:10 p.m. Friday against the Red Sox.
Stats: Trout is hitting .318 (14 for 44) with six home runs, eight RBIs and eight runs scored in 12 games. His on-base percentage was .400, his OPS 1.195. He has walked five times, struck out eight times and stolen two bases on two attempts. … The Angels are 6-6.
