The athlete bought the Mediterranean-style dwelling in Westlake Village in 2018
Los Angeles Lakers star Anthony Davis is looking to sell his sprawling Westlake Village estate, to the tune of $7.995 million. Davis was drafted to the Lakers last year in a multiplayer deal, but will be a free agent at the end of the current season—so the real estate news has prompted some speculation among fans about what his next move will be. (Prior to his stint with the Lakers, Davis played for the New Orleans Pelicans for seven years.)
The property the NBA player is selling features a 15,815-square-foot Mediterranean-style home with five bedrooms and six full and two half-bathrooms, situated on a gated 2.33-acre lot. According to the Los Angeles Times, particularly noteworthy amenities include a $1 million infinity-edge swimming pool with two waterslides; a state-of-the-art home theater; a separate guest house; a sunken trampoline; and, naturally, a full-size indoor basketball court and gym with its own viewing box. A long driveway leads up to a motor court and an adjacent five-car garage, and the home is powered in part by an extensive solar-power system.
The home opens onto a grand double-height entryway with glossy marble floors, an intricate crystal chandelier light fixture, and curved staircase. Elsewhere on the ground floor is a classic wood-paneled library with a fireplace, and an upgraded chef’s kitchen with two islands. Outdoors, in addition to the aforementioned infinity pool, there is also a spa fed by a waterfall, a covered kitchen, and plenty of decks from which to bask in the tree-lined mountain views. The home was originally custom-built back in 1996, and Davis purchased it for $7.479 million in 2018.
