Cardi B Celebrates Reaching the Billion Streams Club on Spotify With Her Hit Songs: “I’m Not Going to Stop”

Thanks to her most recent streaming achievement, Cardi B’s star power has reached a whole new level.

The 31-year-old certified “Bongos” hitmaker made an appearance on the most recent edition of Spotify’s Billions Club: The Series, a digital series that honors musicians who have amassed more than one billion Spotify plays.

In order to gain entry into the exclusive club, Cardi was given plaques for four of her Billboard-charting hits: Maroon 5’s “Girls Like You,” “WAP” starring Megan Thee Stallion, “I Like It” featuring J Balvin and Bad Bunny, and “Taki Taki” featuring Selena Gomez, Ozuna, and DJ Snake.

Beginning with “Girls Like You,” the “Up” rapper recalled specific moments associated with each song while awaiting the delivery of an oxtail supper.

“A billion motherf—ing streams on you h—,” she laughed, “‘Girls Like You’ could never be me, bitch.”

Cardi declared in the episode that the 2017 duet was “the perfect song to dedicate to my child.” It was released the same year as Cardi’s debut album, Invasion of Privacy.

The Grammy-winning musician said, “My daughter was in me when I did this song, so when I perform the song, it touches me a little bit different.”

Upon receiving her last “WAP” trophy, Cardi exclaimed, “I knew that record was going to be a GOAT.” She did, however, also admit that she was quite keen about it sounding “a little bit incomplete.”

The singer of “Jealousy” reportedly thought about changing her mind about the record for “a long time” before speaking with Megan. She said, “It just went perfect.” It blended together well, much like butter and f—ing bread.

Cardi went on, “It was more than a big record,” referring to the political debate surrounding the raucous collaboration’s support of women’s ๐‘ e๐‘ฅuality. Which kind of startled Megan as well as me. It’s not that scary, this tune.

“I just want to say thank you to my fans because, sometimes, I could be a little bit hard on myself,” the hip-hop megastar said as she wrapped up the show. I feel like the more money I have, the more difficulties I seem to have, so sometimes I don’t enjoy who I’ve become. More celebrity equals greater melancholy.

Cardi went on. “I never feel satisfied because the more you get, the more you want.” But then I take a step back and I’m like, “Look at your daughter’s f—ing bedroomโ€”it’s bigger than the f—ing apartment you grew up in with your parents.”

“I’m not going to stop. I will never give up. I’m constantly craving more, therefore I’ll never be able to achieve the goal,” she said.
