Chris Cuomo stuns podcast host Patrick Bet-David by revealing who he voted for

Chris Cuomo admitted he kept his vote in the family on Election Day, writing in his brother Andrew instead of voting for Kamala Harris or Donald Trump.

The NewsNation anchor confessed ‘I probably shouldn’t tell you’ but gave in when asked by podcaster Patrick Bet-David.

‘I voted for my brother. I wrote him in. I’ll show you the picture,’ he said, as Bet-David asked credulously over and over again.

Cuomo’s brother, Andrew, is the now-disgraced governor of New York who was forced to resign in 2021.

Bet-David tried to corner the younger Cuomo on why he wrote in his brother rather than Harris.

‘My feeling is this: America can do better than these two candidates. I’m not a Trump fan and I’m not a Democrat. I think this country can do better.

He then went into what he felt was the unfair treatment of Trump’s MAGA fanbase, despite not voting for the Republican.

‘I think that the movement behind Trump is very real, it’s been disrespected and I think that’s problematic for America.’

‘I don’t have problems with people who see him as a problem and wanted somebody else, I get it. To me, I just believe the choices are beneath the standard of American leadership. I believe we have way better people to pick from.’

The host asked if Andrew Cuomo knew about how his brother voted and Chris confirmed he did.

‘He just was like… yeah. That’s what he says about most things. He had other things he wanted to talk about.

While considered a generally liberal talk show host on CNN, Cuomo has drifted closer to the center since joining NewsNation.

He had harsh words for Democratic hypocrisy on Harris, who liberals had started to treat as ‘black female Jesus.’

The NewsNation anchor spoke out against Democrats’ idolization of the nominee on his podcast.

He complained that liberals ‘didn’t even like her six months ago! Now, all of the sudden, she’s black female Jesus the way [Barack Obama] was Black Jesus.’

Cuomo then disparaged Harris in comparison to the former president, saying he has ‘a lot more going for him’ than she does.

‘He was imbued with things that she is not. And I don’t mean that as a criticism. It’s just a point of comparison,’ he claimed.

The former CNN host then went into the way by which Harris became the nominee after Biden dropped out.

‘And her process f***ed her also. There’s a convenience in it, but it f***ed her also because there are a lot of misgivings about her. There is an underlying feeling that she didn’t get this the right way, she may not have won a primary,’ he said.

He then admonished liberals for refusing to criticize Harris because they’re afraid it’ll throw the election to Trump.

‘I don’t buy that, and it’s not how you get to a better place. It’s a relative assessment. She has negatives. So does he. Does he have more? Yeah. He also has a way more intense following. That’s why this race is so tight,’ he said.

He then claimed that liberals ‘want to write off half this country as bigots’ to explain why the race is so close.

‘Maybe you’re not as right about everything as you think you are. Maybe you should be a little bit more to open to the people that you disagree with. Maybe they’re not all racists,’ he said.
