The Fast & Furious franchise has been going strong since 2001, so when the film series finally does come to an end, it needs a finale of epic proportions via bringing back one iconic Fast & Furious character. In 2023, Fast X became the tenth film in the Fast & Furious franchise, and although it was said to be the last film, the franchise’s lead actor, Vin Diesel, revealed that the finale would be split into three parts. Therefore, Fast & Furious 11 and Fast & Furious 12 are lined up for the future, and most likely won’t hit theaters until 2025 and beyond.

Since there are still several years to go before Fast & Furious truly ends, there is plenty of time for the franchise to plan its biggest and best moments yet. While every Fast & Furious movie is known for its action sequences and themes of family, the final films will have to really bring their A-game to impress audiences. One way to do this is to create a movie similar to Avengers: Endgame, wherein characters from throughout the franchise reunite for one final time. Fast & Furious’ Endgame-Like Conclusion Can Bring Back Ryan Reynolds’ Spinoff Character

To make the Fast & Furious ending extra special, the franchise must bring back Ryan Reynolds’ Victor Locke. In 2019’s Fast & Furious spinoff Hobbs & Shaw, Reynolds made a cameo appearance as CIA agent Victor Locke. Though Reynolds’ role was small, it was certainly impactful enough to merit his return in Fast & Furious 12. Overall, it would not only be a great callback for fans, but also, it makes sense considering Reynolds’ background in action movies as Deadpool, and his tendency towards comedy, which Fast & Furious is also full of.

Another strong reason for Ryan Reynolds to return in Fast & Furious 12 is that it would likely be the only time audiences could ever see that character again. Hobbs & Shaw is not receiving a direct sequel, and though Victor Locke could technically make an appearance in Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Reyes, that isn’t a guarantee. To see Reynolds back on screen with Dwayne Johnson’s Hobbs and Jason Statham’s Shaw would be a truly special moment, and would give Hobbs & Shaw the spotlight it deserves.

In the end, Ryan Reynolds’ participation in the finale of Fast & Furious would be perfect because it is a franchise that loves its celebrities. Dwayne Johnson’s return at the end of Fast X was a big deal, and will likely be a draw for the next films.
