“Scarlet Witch Memories: Elizabeth Olsen on MCU Journey and Moving Forward”

Elizabeth Olsen, known for her portrayal of Scarlet Witch in various movies and TV shows in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, recently admitted that she does not miss playing the character. Despite featuring in numerous projects like Avengers: Age of Ultron, Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Infinity War, Avengers: Endgame, WandaVision, and Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness, there are no future plans for Olsen to reprise the role. Nevertheless, the actor is proud of her work as Scarlet Witch and revealed in an Actors on Actors interview with Meghann Fahy for Variety that she enjoyed the ten years she spent playing the character. Olsen also mentioned that she has no intention of contacting Marvel President Kevin Feige regularly with new ideas since she is satisfied with what they have already achieved.

It has been a considerable amount of time since Elizabeth Olsen made her debut on the screen as Wanda Maximoff, popularly referred to as Scarlet Witch. Nevertheless, the actress has recently disclosed that she doesn’t particularly feel sentimental about portraying the character.

At the age of 34, Olsen debuted as Scarlet Witch in the 2015 blockbuster Avengers: Age of Ultron. She then went on to star in several other Marvel movies, including Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Infinity War, and Avengers: Endgame, as well as the hit TV series WandaVision in 2021. Olsen was thrilled at the opportunity to work on WandaVision and reunite with Paul Bettany’s character Vision, describing the experience as a pleasant surprise. She added that even if Marvel decided to part ways with her, she would still be proud of what she had accomplished. Olsen is eager to explore other roles and films outside of the Marvel universe. Her co-star, Fahy, commended her for her sincerity and applauded her response. Although it remains unclear whether Olsen will return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, given her character’s fate in Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness, the concept of exploring different versions of Wanda through the multiverse leaves the door open to further possibilities. Additionally, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige has hinted at many undiscovered storylines from the comics yet to be explored.

The performer was pleasantly surprised to have the chance to collaborate with Paul Bettany’s Vision again in the upcoming WandaVision TV show. She shared that it was an unexpected opportunity that caught her off guard.

The female performer shared her views on being let go from Marvel movies, stating that she would still feel a sense of achievement for the work they had completed. She also spoke about her enjoyable experience working with her colleague and hinted at the possibility of future collaborations. In the lead-up to Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness, Olsen revealed that she was initially apprehensive about her character’s direction, especially since filming for WandaVision was not yet finished. However, she later grew to appreciate the opportunity to showcase her character’s multifaceted personality and manipulate viewers’ emotions.
