The sparkling ensemble boasted a racy plunging neckline and lightly cinched to showcase Gal’s tiny waist as she excitedly took to the stage to start acting out the hit tune.

Pointing to her slim figure, late night host Jimmy guessed the song first time, with Gal jumping for joy when they won the first round.

The slender star showed off her impeccable pins with her long black tapered trousers, with sophisticated black sparkling heels to tied the ultra glam look together.

Wearing her chocolate locks with their natural wave, she kept her make-up neutral, with only a touch of nude matte lip colour and lashings of mascara.

Director Patty looked just as elegant in a form-fitting floral dress, with skyscrapper silver heels as she effortless won the second round with her Karate Kid performance.

Once in a dead heat, the Wonder Woman director and her starring actress both took on the same challenge for the showdown

The show – which also featured Noah Cyrus and Golden Globe winner Sam Rockwell, ended on a high with Gal and Jimmy winning the final challenge, with Jimmy guessing the Tight Fit hit The Lion Sleeps Tonight while Gal gave her best big cat impression.

Gal and Patty had much more celebratory evening at the Critics Choice Awards in Los Angeles, with Patty awarding the Fast and Furious star with the second SeeHer award that honors women who ‘recognize the importance of accurately portraying women across the entertainment landscape’.

Gal during her acceptance speech said that when she stared acting there were few ‘female-led movies and even fewer female directors’ and then she took note of box office success that women have recently enjoyed.

‘This year three of the top-grossing films were female led and one of them was directed by my wonderful Patty Jenkins,’ she said referencing Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Beauty And The Beast and Wonder Woman.

‘There were eight other films in the top 100 that were directed by females. So although this is progress, there’s still a long way to go,’ Gal said.

‘It’s not only our job to entertain, but our duty to inspire and educate for love and respect,’ she added.

Gal was presented the award by her Wonder Woman director Patty who told the audience that Gal was ‘my real Wonder Woman’.

‘She excelled at every aspect of the universal hero’s struggle in real life on and off the screen. But the really special thing is, she didn’t do it for the glory. She didn’t do it for the fame. She’s not here for the money. She did it for us,’ Patty said. ‘She knew the great importance of this character and what she could mean to the world if well done

The mum-of-two received a standing ovation and thanked the critics ‘for this amazing honor and recognition’ and her ‘friend and sister’ Patty for the award.

Gal said that throughout her career her ‘dream role’ was of a ‘strong, independent woman, a real one.’

‘The irony in this is that later I was cast as Wonder Woman and all the qualities that I looked for I found in her,’ Gal said.

‘She’s full of heart, strength, compassion and forgiveness,’ she said while reminding that even Wonder Woman struggles with her own hopes.

‘She’s not perfect and that makes her real,’ she said.

Gal also referenced the Harvey Weinstein sexual harassment scandal that rocked Hollywood and other industries.

‘I want to share this award with all the women and men who stand for what’s right, standing for those who can’t stand or speak for themselves,’ Gal said.

‘My promise and my commitment to all of you is that I will never be silenced. And we will continue to band together to make strides uniting for equality,’ she concluded.

The Wonder Woman movie later during the awards ceremony won Best Action Movie.

The superhero film was released in May 2017 and has earned $822 million at the box office.
