Sergio Ramos has been pictured with his arm around pop star Shakira, who is the ex-girlfriend of the defender’s former Spain team-mate Gerard Pique.
Pique and Shakira were partners for 11 years and have two children together, but they split last summer, with the former Barcelona favourite moving on with Clara Chia Marti.
Despite being team-mates internationally, Ramos and Pique endured a rivalry at club level on opposite sides of the Real Madrid and Barcelona divide, and their times at the respective Spanish giants coincided with the fierce battles during the Pep Guardiola–Jose Mourinho era.
However, as a centre back partnership for Spain, they won the 2010 World Cup and 2012 Euros, with the pair starting both major finals together in defence.
And on Thursday, Ramos was in charge of presenting prizes at the Latin Grammy Awards which were taking place in Seville.

Shakira stole the show, winning three honours and Pique’s former team-mate presented his ex-partner with two of them, which were handed out for the Best Pop Song and the Best Urban Interpretation.
Ironically, the Best Pop Song prize came for a tune that has been dubbed a ‘diss track’ towards Pique, called ‘Shakira: Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 53.’
After presenting her award, Ramos then posed with Shakira and had his arm around her shoulders.
Shakira – who moved to Miami from Barcelona after their split – then thanked her fans for the support, while also aiming a subtle dig at Pique in the process.
‘I also want to share this (awards) with my Spanish public,’ she said.

‘You have been there accompanying me through the good and the bad, in difficult moments.’
Ramos now plays for Seville after moving back to his boyhood club in the summer upon his exit from PSG.
He has made seven appearance in all competitions for Diego Alonso’s side, who sit 13th in LaLiga, but they are bottom of their Champions League group following two defeats to Arsenal.
The 37-year-old – who retired from Spain duty earlier this year – returns to action after the international break with a clash against Real Sociedad on November 26.
