On the night of November 24, BTS’s management company, BigHit Music, suddenly announced that Jungkook would release a new remix version of the song “3D” in his first solo album “Golden”.
In this version, instead of collaborating with Jack Harlow like the original, Jungkook will collaborate with American singer Justin Timberlake.
According to BigHit Music’s introduction, the remix will help the song “3D” enhance the emotions of the 2000s based on the classic sound of the original version, infusing it with nostalgic charm.
Justin Timberlake is a world-famous artist and was once known as the “Prince of Pop”. The fact that a Kpop idol is joining hands with a global music star like Justin Timberlake should be a good thing.
However, this collaboration immediately caused controversy. On the online community theqoo, many viewers criticized BigHit for deciding to release the song at a time when Justin Timberlake was entangled in a love affair and had a serious image collapse.
Fans are worried that this will indirectly affect Jungkook ‘s reputation.

Last month, Britney Spears released her autobiography “The Woman in Me” which caused a stir. In it, the singer talks about her painful love affair at the age of 19 with Justin Timberlake.
She had to have an abortion in 2000 because Justin Timberlake was not ready to be a father. Britney Spears described abortion as one of the “most painful experiences of her life”. The singer also “exposed” Justin Timberlake’s affair, making the public even more angry.
According to The Sun, Justin Timberlake knew about Britney Spears’ plan to release her memoir a few months ago. The male singer tried to contact and negotiate with Britney Spears, fearing that exposing his past stories would destroy him.
Although the Justin – Britney love story is not the main topic of the book, public opinion focuses on it. The audience sarcastically criticized Justin Timberlake as a “bad boy” who made Britney Spears’ life miserable. Many people even say that, besides his family, Justin Timberlake is also one of the people who pushed the “Pop princess” into a deep pit of despair throughout his life.

On Theqoo, Korean audiences objected to BigHit Music (part of HYBE Group) releasing a collaboration product between Jungkook and Justin Timberlake, with many notable comments:
“Do they need to release this remix now? Justin Timberlake’s image is being ruined both in Korea and abroad.”
“HYBE is based in the US, so it is impossible not to know about the Justin Timberlake case and the reaction of the American people, not to mention a lot of press coverage. I don’t understand why you have to do that?
“Are you going to let that bad guy release music and gain more fans? Jungkook is like cannon fodder… Why do BTS members have to release a remix with an outdated singer and cause such a big scandal?
“Even if this remix was made before the scandal, it should be canceled now.”
“If I didn’t know what he did, I would think ‘Wow, that’s cool’, but now his image is so bad, why get involved?”
“This company never thinks?”.
“It’s like I’ve already paid the royalties so I’m sorry, before Jungkook enlists, do I have to release it to get the money back?”.
