Journalist Ben Jacobs has claimed that Chelsea could now consider loan offers for one player if the right conditions are met in January.
He told GiveMeSport that the Blues would be open to receiving offers for Noni Madueke, who has found opportunities hard to come by this season.
It has been a tough campaign so far for Madueke, who has just one start and six appearances in total in the Premier League so far.
He was publically called out by Mauricio Pochettino for his off-field actions, although it was claimed straight afterwards that he had become a model professional in training in response.
The 21-year-old did get himself a start against Brentford, and came a couple of inches away from opening the scoring in sensational style.
It will always be unknown just how different his career would have panned out if that had found the net, and Chelsea had continued their good run of form at the time.
Madueke could be loaned out
Now though, Jacobs has claimed a loan deal could be on the cards for the winger if the right conditions are met.
He said: “If the right kind of offer comes in to get him some minutes and then return to Chelsea, if it suits all parties and it’s feasible, it could be something that is considered. But I don’t think that this is a case of an unhappy player, pushing for a permanent exit, as some reports suggest.”
Opportunities behind Raheem Sterling have been rare due to the impressive form of the experienced winger this season, and the opposite side is largely held down by Cole Palmer.
The 21-year-old is arguably on course for the player of the year award at Stamford Bridge, and it is unlikely his place in the side will disappear even with the return of Christopher Nkunku.
