Jake Paul has had enough of people criticising his choice of opponent for his next fight.
The social media star turned fighter will take on professional boxer Andre August on December 15 in Orlando, Florida.
Paul is looking to register his first win over a pro boxer
This will be Paul’s third fight of the year, having lost against Tommy Fury and beaten Nate Diaz, and it will be his ninth fight overall.
But, there has been some criticism of Paul’s opponent due to his low profile and the American is not having it.
“Who, who, who? What are you f***ing owl. It’s Andre August that’s who, shut the f*** up,” Paul said in a video on his YouTube channel.
“The switch up is crazy, from ‘fight a real boxer’ to ‘who is this guy? What is he doing this for?’ Make up your mind.
“But, you wanna know who I’m doing it for – me, my experience, to become world champion and doing it in front of everybody’s eyeballs.
“I’m treating myself like a typical boxing prospect would do. And not that I should even give you little peons some answers, but here’s some stats for you.”
Paul then proceeded to point out that many of the best boxers in the world didn’t fight an opponent as challenging as August in their ninth fight.
“Pound-for-pound, the great Terence Crawford fought a 9-14 opponent in his ninth fight,” Paul continued.
“Canelo Alvarez fought an 0-1 opponent in his ninth fight and Gervonta Davis fought an opponent who had 31 losses in his ninth fight.
“Yes, you heard that right, for y’all to still be criticising me it just shows your own insecurities and that you are a hater, tweeting off of your mum’s WiFi, and if it’s not your mum’s I know for sure you split that bill with a roommate.
“But, with that said, Terence, Canelo and Gervonta didn’t have the world watching them in their ninth fight, however, I do.
“So, therefore, I am making an exciting fight, a fight that’s really 50/50 against a 10-1 pro boxer, who’s been doing this their whole life and has more knockouts than me, more experience than me, a three-time Golden Gloves champion in the amateurs.
“Not to mention Mr Andre August is on a seven fight win streak, this guy is a real dog…
“I gotta tell you, somebody is getting knocked out.”
