LIL UZI VERT FLIPS DRAKE ‘FOR ALL THE DOGS’ SONG WHILE PREVIEWING ‘LUV IS RAGE 3’

Lil Uzi Vert has previewed unreleased music slated for Luv Is Rage 3 that finds them flipping a cut from Drake’sFor All The Dogs.

Uzi gave fans a taste of what’s ahead earlier this week during an Instagram Live where they interpolated Drake’s “7969 Santa,” which is a FATD interlude sung by Teezo Touchdown.

The Philly native warbles over the piano-driven production: “Dogs will be dogs/ Don’t we made wrong/ Find my way home/ Dogs will be dogs.

“Scratch my back when I am/ What’s my purpose/ Woe means best friend, thunder-lightning I’m so frightened but I’m your protector.”

Uzi previewed a separate song on the IG Live which found them utilizing a more woozy and syrupy flow.

“I tell myself that I can change/ But our love is not the same,” they rap.

Lil Uzi Vert was spotted hanging with Teezo Touchdown at Travis Scott’s Philadelphia tour stop (Teezo is the tour’s opener) on Sunday night (December 10) where Uzi served as a special guest.

Uzi joined Scott on stage for a performance of their “Aye” collab much to the delight of the Wells Fargo Arena crowd.

There’s still no release date for Luv Is Rage 3, which Uzi has been teasing for months following Pink Tape‘s arrival earlier this year.

However, the rapper has alluded to a return to their original sound.

“Don’t get me wrong, like, the songs I’m makin’ and shit, like all the ‘AAAAH,’” they explained last month. “All that shit is cool, but I’m gettin’ back to my original shit.”

Despite all the excitement building up around their next release, Lil Uzi Vert’s trailblazing career may soon be coming to an end as they recently announced plans to quit music altogether.

During night two of their Pink Tape Tour in Chicago, the Generation Now rapper revealed that their upcoming album will be their “last.”

They promised fans that they will embark on one more tour to support the project, after which they will retire from the business in hopes of leading a “normal life.”

Luv Is Rage 3 will be my last album,” Uzi told the crowd, which was met by audible disappointment. “No, relax. It’s okay […] After Luv Is Rage 3, I guess I will go on another tour for Luv Is Rage 3. But after that, I wanna try to live a normal life.”
