Cyrus Redeems Himself, Saves Laura’s Life?

General Hospital spoilers and updates tease Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) could redeem himself permanently by doing a heroic thing like saving his sister’s life.

Not only Laura Collins (Genie Francis) but the entire town of Port Charles would be in Cyrus’ debt for being a true hero and brother to Laura.

General Hospital Spoilers – Still The Town Pariah

Cyrus is still the town pariah, which is something very difficult to overcome with a past like his-even though he claims he’s found religion, many don’t believe it.

True religion would demand that he change himself and change his life and behavior, and no one has seen enough proof of that.

Yet, Laura is giving him a chance but very much in a probationary way-it irks him to see Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) have such a strong bond with his sister.

Cyrus, however wasn’t around to see how that bond formed-this was over years through her ex-husband Luke Spencer (Anthony Geary).

Sonny has remained a faithful, although sometimes misbehaving, friend to Laura for all those years since and has always come through when she needed him.

GH Spoilers – Recent Sibling Squabbles

There have been some recent sibling squabbles between Laura and Cyrus however, but he’s the one who blew up at her-he’d felt he hadn’t been given a chance.

She did give him some hope for their relationship after they talked things out, however, although she does have new reasons for concern.

Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) had warned her about Austin Gatlin-Holt (Roger Howarth) and Mason Gatlin (Nathanyael Grey) having worked for Cyrus when he was still in Pentonville.

With Austin’s murder, Laura can’t be absolutely sure that Cyrus isn’t behind it, although he has an alibi from the Port Charles Grille because he was working.

Cyrus still could have put a hit on Austin, and whoever did the dirty deed it was someone Austin knew and wasn’t expecting to be there-someone with a key.

General Hospital Spoilers – A Huge Twist, A Chance For Real Redemption

But now, there’s a new evildoer in town masquerading as a charming Aussie-Mr. Brennan, (Charles Mesure) doubling as new head of the WSB and an important bigwig in Pikeman Security Group.

Obviously, Brennan is in Port Charles for more than one reason-and his priority targets are Sonny and Anna Devane (Finola Hughes).

Brennan likely killed or called the hit on Anna’s former WSB colleague Jameson Forsyth (uncast character) and probably is a sympathizer of Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy).

It would be very easy to imagine Laura, the mayor, getting in the crosshairs of Brennan and his associate Roman Hume (Mark Englehardt) simply through her association with Sonny.

Cyrus could easily step into a situation where Brennan or Hume is threatening Laura and save her life, redeeming him forever in her eyes.
