Kelly Rowland addressed rumors that she would be getting back together with Beyonce Knowles and Michelle Williams for a Destiny’s Child reunion.
The 42-year-old hitmaker – who attended The Hollywood Reporter Beauty Dinner earlier this week – addressed the possibility of a comeback by the highly-popular of the late 90s, early 2000s who went on indefinite hiatus in 2006.
She told TheMessenger earlier this week that unfortunately the rumors are not true and there is no comeback for the supergroup on the horizon.
As for why, Kelly explained that it is due to all three of them having different individual projects as she said: ‘Bey wrapping up Renaissance and getting ready for her movie, Michelle in the thick of her solo projects that she’s doing, and me in my solo space and all the things that I’m doing, that’s where my head is.
‘That’s where my heart is. That’s what I’m most excited about, with all due respect to Destiny’s Child.’

Though there is no chance of the trio getting back together in the near future, Kelly is not closing the door on the opportunity completely.
She explained: ‘And should there be a space for that, we’ll see what happens. But as for right now, I’m so excited as to what I’m doing.’
Beyonce, Kelly and Michelle all became stars through the group with songs like Survivor, Bootylicious and Say My Name.
However they were not the original line-up as the group began their career as Girl’s Tyme with Beyonce, Kelly, LaTavia Roberson, and LaToya Luckett.
In early 2000 both Roberson and Luckett were replaced with Williams and Farrah Franklin, however, Franklin quit after a few months leaving the group in their final incarnation as a trio.
They were managed by Beyonce’s father Mathew Knowles, with her mother Tina Knowles (now Lawson) making their costumes.
After their breakup they reunited twice – first when Beyonce played the Super Bowl halftime show in 2013 and then five years later when she headlined Coachella.
The women have remained personal friends as well and Tina even referred to Kelly as one of her ‘daughters’ in a Time magazine piece.
