Tough times: Cardi B – seen in Miami last month – has been sued for assault over an alleged incident that occurred in 2018, however, some witnesses insist that her privacy had been violated according to TMZ

In court documents obtained by the publication it was alleged that the rapper maliciously struck her in the head, face, and body.

In addition Ellis, who says she is African-American, claims Cardi spit on her in addition to using profanities and racial slurs.

The alleged encounter happened at a medical building as Cardi had just left an appointment while pregnant with first child, Kulture, at the time and had not yet announced her pregnancy publicly. Kulture is currently 19-months-old.

According to eyewitnesses from TMZ the security guard approached the star trying to record videos or take photos of her when the Bodak Yellow hitmaker asked her to stop as she did not want to be recorded in a doctor’s office.

Interesting: Cardi had not announced her pregnancy at the time of the alleged incident in Beverly Hills on February 24, 2018, she is seen in LA a week before the encounter

The bystanders said the security guard got upset as they proceeded to get into an argument and that a building staffer separated the star and security guard and things never escalated physical nor were there any racial slurs.

The lawsuit documents also state that Cardi ‘then used her celebrity status to get [Ellis] fired from her job as a security guard.’

However a representative for the medical building told TMZ that the rapper’s doctor and patient coordinator were responsible for having the security guard terminated as they both felt like the guard had violated Cardi’s privacy as the information was released with the rapper’s permission.

Ellis is suing the I Like It hitmaker for assault, battery, and infliction of emotional distress.

Cardi is no stranger to controversy as she was charged with two felony counts of assault for allegedly attacking twp bartenders in two separate incidents at Angel’s Strip Club in Flushing, Queens, last August.

Prosecutors say the victims, who are sisters, were targeted because the 27-year-old rapper believed one of them was having an affair with her husband, Offset.

Cardi was originally charged with misdemeanors but after turning down a no-jail plea deal, was hit with the more serious counts.

She and her co-defendants Tawana Jackson-Morel and Jeffrey Bush all face four years behind bars if they are convicted.

Prosecutors say the rapper ordered her co-defendants to attack the unnamed victims.

Sad: Cardi – seen at a hearing in New York back in December –  is no stranger to controversy as she was charged with two felony counts of assault for allegedly attacking twp bartenders in two separate incidents at Angel’s Strip Club in Flushing, Queens, last August

Bold strategy: Cardi was originally charged with misdemeanors but after turning down a no-jail plea deal, was hit with the more serious counts

It was pre-planned on social media, they say.

When they got to the strip club on August 15, 2018, Bush allegedly used his body to block anyone from intervening as one of the bartenders was attacked.

He also allegedly filmed the beating.

They then are said to have returned on August 29. On that occasion, Jackson-Morel allegedly threw a drink in the second woman’s face.

Then, she and Cardi B and others allegedly hurled bottles and glasses at her.

She has pleaded not guilty to the charges.

Cardi famously attended a hearing for the case at a New York court in very dramatic fashion including an elaborate feathered coat and hat with black Christian Louboutin pumps back in December.

Her husband Offset has also found himself in hot water last month he was accused of throwing a punch at a fellow party-goer during a night out on January 30, after leaving Cardi’s performance at LIV club in Miami.

The rapper, 27, was dancing on stage at strip club Booby Trap, while her beau showered her with hundreds of dollar bills, however their display was interrupted by a member of the crowd.

One of the audience members reportedly popped a bottle of champagne over the stage, while Cardi was dancing and appeared to get the star wet, reports TMZ.

After noticing the incident, Offset, 28, appeared to launch himself off the stage while throwing punches at the culprit behind the champagne pop.

Days before that the Migos star was handcuffed and detained in celeb-favorite outdoor mall The Grove in Los Angeles after police received reports of a person with a gun in the parking lot.

After being released and insisting that law enforcement got ‘the wrong guy’, Offset wasted no time celebrating his release.
