Ronaldo may not recover in time to play against Messi.
A few hours ago, superstar Lionel Messi and his teammates at Inter Miami boarded a plane to go to Saudi Arabia to attend the Riyahd Cup friendly tournament. In this tournament, the American team will play 2 matches, against Al Hilal and then Ronaldo’s Al Nassr.
Messi boarded the plane and went with his teammates to Saudi Arabia to play.
The competition between Messi and Ronaldo at the Riyahd Cup received special attention. This is described as the “final match” between these two superstars. However, this reunion is at risk of falling apart.
Messi is in good physical condition after the recent long break and is ready to play from the start. On the opposite side, Ronaldo is injured again. After gathering with the whole team in mid-month, the 38-year-old striker suffered a muscle strain and was said to need about 2 weeks to recover.
Ronaldo had to announce the cancellation of 2 matches in China due to injury.
On January 23, Al Nassr had to cancel two friendly matches in China because Ronaldo could not return. Argentinian newspaper Ole said that it is likely that CR7 will not be able to return in time to face Inter Miami on February 2. Currently, Ronaldo still has to practice separately in the gym and cannot go on the field with his teammates.
The match between Inter Miami and Al Nassr will take place on February 2.
