Shot in Italy, the project boasts a cast that includes Argentine heartthrob Juan Minujin and the Oscar-nominated Mexican actor Demián Bichir.

The movie is based on a novella by Italian author Alessandro Baricco about a woman seeking revenge on the men who murdered her father during a long-ago war.

Angelina, who has previously directed films about the Bosnian War and the Khmer Rouge, is currently in the midst of post-production on Without Blood.

Salma and Angelina previously acted together in The Eternals, the 2021 Marvel flop helmed by the art film director Chloe Zhao of Nomadland fame.

‘Angelina is the best director I’ve ever worked with,’ Salma told Deadline in August 2022 after she wrapped filming on Without Blood.

‘I absolutely loved working with her; enjoyed every second of it. It’s a tough piece but it was so delicious to come to work every single day. She is a genius and I think this might be her best movie yet. She did an amazing job, really.’

A couple of weeks ago Salma fired up her Instagram to wish a happy 17th birthday to her stepson Augustin, whose father is her billionaire husband François-Henri Pinault.

Augustin’s mother is the legendary 1990s Supermodel Linda Evangelista, who ran around with François-Henri in 2005 and 2006.

François-Henri, whose current business career includes being CEO of Kering, has been married to Salma since their courthouse ceremony in 2009.

Along with The Eternals, Salma’s recent releases include Magic Mike: The Last Dance, which bowed this February and bombed at the box office.

Last year she could be heard in a voice role in Puss In Boots: The Last Wish, which bowed a few days before Christmas and ultimately emerged as a sleeper hit.
