If you like a story with a happy ending, this video is a must-watch. Dogs love the beach, and they love to frolic in the sand and get their little paws wet. However, even in places that feel safe, dogs can sometimes get into trouble. That is what happened when an animal control officer named Carlos Ortega must rescue a dog named Gwen, who is trapped under rocks at San Francisco’s Ocean Beach.
A person had been jogging on the beach when they heard the muffled cries of the poor pup stuck in the rocks. They had to find her underneath the enormous stones. Fortunately, they found her thanks to the good Samaritan who took her picture and gave it to Ortega. A stick was implemented in trying to remove the obstacle away to get to Gwen. However, the tide was coming in, and he needed to save her quickly.
Ortega lifted the rock with all his might to push it off just enough to get her out. He was careful when freeing her, ensuring she was not physically harmed. Once Gwen was free, she went right up to her gallant rescuer and kissed him. Gwen was given back to her family, who were missing her.
The springer spaniel is a beautiful pup. This story will bring a tear of joy to your eye, knowing that the dog was saved and that there are good people out there who refuse to give up when an animal is in trouble. It is a “tail” of love and heroism. Gwen gets the happy ending she deserves, and Ortega and the jogger are heroes.
