The preview for the next One Piece episode teases the colossal battle between Law and Blackbeard’s pirate crews that’ll likely surpass the manga.
One Piece‘s Egghead Island arc is filled with incredible battles, but the anime has primed Trafalgar Law fans with a filler episode before his best fight yet. Law became a fan-favorite character with an incredible design and serious personality that often clashed (hilariously) with Luffy’s during their several arcs together. Now that they have split up, Law and his crew are about to have their hands full when Blackbeard and his crew ambush them with some of the strongest Devil Fruit powers in the series.
As the new Egghead One Piece anime intro teased, Law will fight Blackbeard, and it’s happening sooner than anime-only watchers may have suspected. Unfortunately, a filler episode summarizing Law’s contributions to the story was sandwiched between episode #1092’s cliffhanger with Blackbeard and the anticipated battle that’ll take place in #1093. However, the filler provided an epic preview that’s been shared by the official One Piece YouTube channel.
The teaser for One Piece episode #1093 highlights several intense moments the adaptation is gearing up to deliver. Moments like Law’s shocking transformation, Blackbeard and his crew’s assault, and much more appear in the preview. However, a post on X by revolutionary One Piece animator/director Henry Thurlow has helped build anticipation that the Blackbeard vs. Law fight will be something special for anime fans.
The Blackbeard Pirates Are About To Get More Scary
Thurlow’s talents have previously adapted the incredible Big Mom against Law and Kid fight and several other cinematic action scenes throughout the Wano arc. The animator’s post stated he’d contributed a lot to the upcoming episode that’s primed to showcase several powerful Devil Fruit user’s clash. Other talented artists like Katsumi Ishizuka will also be helping bring episode #1093 to life, meaning the Law versus Blackbeard fight will likely be extended beyond what was shown in the One Piece manga chapter #1063.
The end of episode #1092 showed Blackbeard’s intimidating ship approaching and preparing to attack Law’s crew, and the following episode did not continue the encounter like viewers hoped it would. Instead, viewers got a history lesson with the subject being Trafalgar Law. The filler episode included his introduction to the series, the tragic story of his past involving Doflamingo, and his impressive contributions during Wano that proved vital in taking down Big Mom. Still, with news that episode #1093 is getting help from some of the anime’s best animators, it should be worth the wait.

Devoting an entire episode to provide the backstory for a character usually implies something significant will be happening to them.
