‘I’m so burnt out. I’m so tired, and I’m so not capable of making healthy, smart decisions’: Sandra Bullock confirms she will be taking a break from her acting career.

Sandra Bullock has revealed she is planning to take a break from acting in the near future as she feels ‘burnt out.’

The screen star, 57, discussed her forthcoming hiatus with The Hollywood Reporter, explaining that she was looking forward to maintaining a lighter schedule in the near future.

Sandra, who has starred in close to 50 movies in her thirty year career, admitted she doesn’t feel ‘capable of making healthy, smart decisions’ anymore.

Ready to go: Sandra Bullock reiterated that she would be taking a break from acting during an interview with The Hollywood Reporter that was published last week; she is seen in March

The actress previously announced that she would be temporarily stepping away from her work during an interview with Entertainment Tonight that was published this past March.

In her new interview, Sandra began by noting that she was looking forward to moving at her own pace, explaining: ‘I don’t want to be beholden to anyone’s schedule other than my own.’

‘I’m so burnt out. I’m so tired, and I’m so not capable of making healthy, smart decisions and I know it,’ she added.

Taking time off: Bullock began by explaining her reasoning for her forthcoming break from acting and noted that she was looking forward to moving at her own pace; she is seen in March

Sandra pointed out that, although she was grateful for the success she had found, she was worried about its implications on her personal life.

‘Work has always been steady for me, and I’ve been so lucky. I realized it possibly was becoming my crutch. It was like opening up a fridge all the time and looking for something that was never in the fridge,’ she stated.

The performer then remarked that she had to have a conversation with herself regarding success.

She recalled: ‘I said to myself, “Stop looking for it here because it doesn’t exist here. You already have it; establish it, find it and be OK not having work to validate you.”‘

She also spoke about working with The Lost City’s producer, Liza Chasin, and noted that she was happy to have collaborated with the industry figure.

The performer stated: ‘If I’m going out with a bang, I want to go out with the right person.’

The actress starred as Loretta Sage in the movie, which grossed nearly $190 million worldwide, according to BoxOfficeMojo.

When asked about when she would return to acting, the actress simply stated: ‘I don’t know.’

In March the star told People (The TV SHow)! correspondent Sandra Vergara that previous comments about retirement had been misconstrued.

Sandra – who is mother to 11-year-old son Louis and eight-year-old daughter Laila – said: ‘I’m not retiring, just going to not spend time in front of the camera for a while.

‘I have beautiful babies. I’d rather look at them. I’d rather look at them every day and have them be mad at me and annoyed and make memories with them for right now.

‘I never said I’m retiring, unless while I’m with the babies, [If] I decide to retire, then I’ll make that announcement. A very important announcement that no one will care about.’

Uncertain future: When asked about when she would return to acting, the actress simply stated: ‘I don’t know’

Sandra shares parenting duties with her longtime boyfriend Bryan Randall, who she has called, ‘the love of my life’.

The actress was in the process of adopting her second child when things got serious with the photographer – who she went public with in 2015 – and they now share both her children, and his daughter from a previous relationship.

She met Bryan when she hired him as a photographer to take pictures at her son’s birthday, and described him as a ‘saint’ after she informed him she was adopting a second child when they ‘hadn’t been together that long.’

The actress skyrocketed to fame after starring in 1994’s Speed opposite Keanu Reeves. She was the world’s highest-paid actress in both 2010 and 2014 and won an Oscar in 2009 for her performance in The Blind Side.

She is set to appear next as handler Maria Beetle in the forthcoming action-comedy feature Bullet Train.

The performer will be featured alongside a sizable cast that includes the likes of Brad Pitt, Michael Shannon and Joey King, among numerous others.

She joined the cast of the movie last February as a replacement for Lady Gaga, who had to drop out of the production.

Bullet Train is currently scheduled to be released to the public on August 5.
