Jason Momoa is as well-known for his beard as he is for his rippling muscles, but fans are devastated now his facial fuzz is gone.
In an attention-grabbing Instagram post, the Game of Thrones hunk, 39, shaved off his beard for the first time in seven years.

Jason decided to whack out the razor to raise awareness of the damage plastic is doing to the environment.
But while it was all for a good cause, fans have been left “crying” at the loss of his iconic beard.
One commented: “How is the ONLY thing in the entire internet that made me stop and say ‘NOOOOOOOOOO’ is Jason Momoa starting shaving his beard?”

In the clip Jason can be seen cleaning up plastic that was littered all over the desert they filmed in.

With his long locks tied back, the Khal Drogo actor takes the razor to his own face as he explains why he’s pulled off the publicity stunt.
He says: “2012 was the last time i shaved. I just want to do this to bring awareness that plastics are killing our planet.
“I think I have a solution, I don’t want to bitch about it.
Jason says his solution is recycling and using aluminum cans instead of plastic water bottles.
Aluminum can be recycled over and over again, making it much better for the planet.
