YouTube star MrBeast was in attendance as Inter Miami suffered their first defeat of the MLS season against CF Montreal on Sunday.
Miami were beaten 3-2 by Montreal at their newly-named Chase Stadium, where a rested Lionel Messi could only watch on as his teammates conceded twice in the final 15 minutes of the game.
It was a disappointing afternoon for the hosts, who were without Messi entirely amid a grueling schedule of three games in six days.
However, Argentina’s World Cup-winning captain was not the only famous face watching on from the stands on Sunday.
MrBeast, real name Jimmy Donaldson, was seen sporting a Miami jersey as he rocked up to Chase Stadium to watch the eventual five-goal thriller.

After the game MrBeast was seen gifting Sergio Busquets’ son a cake on his birthday weekend
The online sensation took in the action as Miami and Montreal produced four goals between them in the last 20 minutes of the game, before joining Sergio Busquets‘ family afterwards to celebrate his son’s birthday.
Busquets’ model wife Elena Galera shared a clip of MrBeast gifting their son Enzo, who turned eight over the weekend, a birthday cake as they lifted the mood despite Miami’s first defeat of the campaign.
‘Here’s a birthday boy on cloud [nine],’ Galera wrote alongside a photo of the moment on Instagram. ‘Thank you so much @mrbeast’.
Donaldson, who has 244 million subscribers on YouTube, has linked up with several sports teams in recent months, after hilariously becoming a Tampa Bay Buccaneers player for the day as part of a video released in November.
He also agreed a jersey deal with the Charlotte Hornets in October – the first ever agreement between an NBA franchise and an influencer.
In Miami on Sunday, Messi wore street clothes and watched from a sideline VIP box as Montreal took advantage of several defensive miscues to hand Inter its first loss of the season.
He did not play after previously being listed as questionable with a shin injury, and Montreal took advantage to run out 3-2 winners, with a stunning long-range Jordi Alba strike not enough to earn Miami anything from the game.

Montreal forward Sunusi Ibrahim celebrates after scoring against Inter Miami on Sunday
Messi’s injury happened in a 2-2 draw at Nashville in the CONCACAF Champions Cup last week. The 36-year-old went to contest a pass from Nashville’s Lukas Macnaughton, who appeared to step on his calf and cause his left ankle to twist. Trainers tended to Messi as he writhed in pain on the pitch in the 77th minute, but he remained in the match.
Leonarda Campana scored the tying goal for Miami in the 71st minute Sunday after Montreal took a 1-0 lead early in the first half on a header from Fernando Álvarez.
Off a cross from Lawson Sunderland, Campana injected life into the crowd at Chase Stadium when he sent a header into the bottom left corner of the net.
But in a game that was one of Inter Miami’s sloppiest of the season, Montreal took a two-goal lead with scores from Matías Cóccaro and Sunusi Ibrahim in less than a five-minute span.
