Max Homa claims Tiger Woods playing more frequently will make golf more watchable and bring in good number of viewers.

This week the golfing action returns to the iconic TPC Sawgrass for the 50th edition of The Players Championship. As the golfers get ready to participate in this event, Max Homa took part in the press conference and suggested how Tiger Woods could help still help the sport of golf grow.
This year will mark the fifth year running where Tiger Woods will not feature in this marquee event. His absence from the course has been mainly due to injuries. This has also had a effect in the viewership numbers as many fans have claimed to have found this sport ‘boring‘ without Woods. Max Homa though believes that him (Woods) playing more frequently could make golf more watchable again.
However, the six-time PGA Tour champion also believes that the other golfers including himself could up their game a little bit, play some good golf which could entertain the crowd and stop relying too much on Woods.

When will Woods play golf next is now something many connected to golf want to know. While many are hoping for his sighting at The Masters tournament, there are some who are wondering whether he will play a non-signature event ever again.

After he kept on falling short in the first few events of the 2024 season, Max Homa decided it was time to make some adjustments to his game play. The 33-year-old has since made some changes to his golf swing. Will this though help him emerge as the winner at The Players Championship?
During the earlier events this year, Homa was seen struggling in events and failed to notch up a single top-10 finish. Things got worse when he finished T66 at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am and failed to make the cut at the Waste Management Open. This led to him trying new things during the final round of the Genesis Invitational.

This new trick saw him finish T8 at the Arnold Palmer Invitational last week. The American golfer is now hoping this change helps him out at the Players Championship.

Homa will now tee off at the 1:29 pm ET alongside Matt Fitzpatrick and 2024 Genesis Invitational winner Hideki Matsuyama on Thursday. This trio will tee off on the No.1 hole after the group of recent tournament winners, Jake Knapp, Matthieu Pavon and Nick Dunlap.
The big question is can Homa win? A victory from him has been long overdue, with his last triumph coming at the Farmers Insurance Open in January 2023. Time will now unveil whether he can upset the odds and walk away with the $4.5 million winning cheque on Sunday.
