Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly are navigating a rocky relationship after calling off their engagement.
A source told People about the 37-year-old actress and 33-year-old music artist, ‘One day they’re up, the next they’re down.’
The person close to the couple, who began dating in 2020, added about their fiery romance, ‘That intensity is still there nearly four years into their relationship, but that’s not necessarily “healthy.”‘
The insider elaborated: ‘There are still a ton of trust issues between them and it’s very toxic. They can’t stay away from each other and there’s a lot of history there, but they also don’t know how to be in a healthy relationship.’
Describing the volatile dynamic, it was noted, ‘They’ll be totally fine, then days later get into a huge blowout fight and not talk for weeks, but then give in and be all lovey-dovey again.’

Fox, who was previously married to actor Brian Austin Green, appeared on the podcast Call Her Daddy this week and vaguely discussed the status of her relationship.
‘You got engaged and I think it got called off… how would you describe your relationship with MGK?’ asked host Alex Cooper.
The actress replied vaguely as she said: ‘As of now I don’t have a comment on the status of the relationship per se.
‘What I can say [is] that [he’s] what I refer to as being my “twin soul.” There will always be a tether to him no matter what. I can’t say for sure what the capacity will be, but I will always be connected to him somehow.’
The siren added, ‘Beyond that I’m not willing to explain, but all those things you said were accurate things that have occurred.’
People’s source dished further about the two stars, ‘They never picked back up wedding plans or even got to a place where they could think about really getting married.
‘It doesn’t seem like either wants to give the other up, even though they both know it’s not healthy.’
It comes after someone else told Us Weekly the two are living apart as they work out their issues.

‘They did this arrangement to give each other some space while still being together,’ the outlet’s source explained. ‘They are at a low moment right now.’
According to the insider, Megan has gone as far as requesting friends to ‘set her up’ with potential partners.
‘Friends around them don’t see them completely ending the relationship as they truly change their minds every day,’ the source noted.
‘Megan has a hard time trusting MGK and knows it’s her own insecurities.’
