Ava Stabs Nina In The Back — But She’ll Pay A Hefty Price For It

General Hospital (GH) spoilers spill Ava Jerome (Maura West) isn’t doing so hot at keeping her promise to Nina Reeves Corinthos (Cynthia Watros), her supposed best gal pal.

But keeping up with Nina’s demands in a relationship can be rather exhausting, and Ava is spending a lot more time around Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) these days than she is his jilted soon-to-be ex-wife.

General Hospital Spoilers —How Will Nina Handle The News?

Still, Ava didn’t have to make a commitment to Nina not to let another woman come between her and Sonny.

Now, she’s seemingly preparing to be that woman. Knowing how Nina likes to play hardball and ensures that anyone who crosses her gets payback, we can’t imagine this turns out well for Ava.

Just how will Nina handle the news when she realizes the discomfort she felt with Ava getting wrapped up in the mob was actually her own instincts firing off the whole time, telling her her best friend was moving in on her man?

GH Spoilers — Nina Reeves’s Paranoia Ramps Up

Nina’s instincts were firing away when she met Ava in the hospital chapel and heard firsthand of the events that transpired at Selina Wu’s warehouse.

She was stunned to learn Ava was involved at all, and she didn’t entirely buy Ava’s story that she played a necessary third party as a former member of the mob.

Ten years out of the business should surely render someone irrelevant, but what does she know about it? Regardless, Nina couldn’t shake the feeling that Ava had formed some kind of alliance with Sonny.

Her help that evening, combined with her continued resistance to help Nina reach Sonny by inserting herself into their personal business, made Nina feel insecure about her friendship with Ava.

So when she continues to keep Nina at arms’ length, eventually Mrs. Corinthos is going to figure out what she’s working with.

General Hospital Spoilers —Gush Ava and Sonny Get Cozy

Fans are on the edges of their seats over this could-be love affair. Ava and Sonny have never been close like this before. Avery Corinthos (Grace Scarola) was merely the result of a brief tryst.

The sparks flying between the mob boss and his baby mama right now are more than enough to keep us begging for more.

Real intimacy and trust is developing there, which we know ultimately means it must be shattered. We can just about guess who does the honors.

GH Spoilers —  Nina Exacts Her Revenge

If anyone has dirt on Ava, it’s Nina. She may decide to interfere in her best friend’s new romance with her husband via more petty means, but we shouldn’t pretend that’s all there is to it.

Nina could reveal to Sonny what Ava did to Morgan Corinthos (Bryan Craig) many moons ago by switching his meds — a suspicion Sonny always had but never confirmed.

She could also clue him in on the fact that Ava knew Nina was complicit in reporting Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) and Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) to the SEC all along and never told him.

Will she use any of this against them, or might she have even bigger plans in store for Ava’s new romance?
