Man Utd stars beamed back to training in preparation for their second consecutive match in London, against Chelsea on Thursday night

This Thursday night, Manchester United will play Chelsea in their second straight London match (20:15 BST kickoff).

Erik ten Hag, the manager, started the same lineup that defeated Liverpool in the Emirates FA Cup before the international break, but he expressed unhappiness with the lack of effort in the 1-1 draw against Brentford on Saturday.

After serving his one-game suspension for his heroics in the thrilling quarterfinal match at Old Trafford, Amad is unquestionably available once more. Meanwhile, at the Gtech Community Stadium, Harry Maguire, Lisandro Martinez, Casemiro, and goal scorer Mason Mount came off the bench.

Ten Hag also deployed Antony as a substitute, and he provided a flanking option. Raphael Varane was also forced off during the weekend, and defenders Victor Lindelof and Martinez have been sidelined for at least a month owing to muscular ailments.

After Lindelof went down in the second half, a hasty motion for a substitution was made, but Varane did not show up for the restart. The Frenchman did look injured following a late challenge by Ivan Toney in the first half, even though the manager later suggested there was a precautionary reason for the decision.

The seasoned backup at the center of the defense, Jonny Evans, hasn’t been present lately.

Following his muscular issue, Altay Bayindir was among the goalkeeping group in our Tuesday training photos from Carrington. Tom Heaton was the substitute keeper against Brentford.

In an effort to close the gap on Tottenham and Aston Villa in the race for a berth in the UEFA Champions League for the next season, a number of young players were also featured as the Reds were ready to face Mauricio Pochettino’s team.

Anthony Martial, Luke Shaw, and Tyrell Malacia are all sidelined.
