It’s official — there’s no bad blood between Cardi B and Ice Spice, as confirmed by the two women in a sweet interaction on X Wednesday (April 3).
The hip-hop stars effectively dispelled any rumors that there may be beef between them when the 24-year-old “Munch” rapper tweeted photos they took together at the 2024 Vanity Fair Oscars party in March. In the snaps, the 31-year-old Whipshots founder flashes a peace sign as Ice leans in close, making a kissy face.
“De lo mio,” the younger musician captioned the post.
Cardi then retweeted the pics, adding three heart emojis.
The exchange came about after the “WAP” artist engaged in an argument about heritage, colorism and public perception with influencer Raymonte Cole. At one point, Cardi tweeted, “I asked you why you feel comfortable calling me a Mexican when ice and Jharrel Jerome Zoe Saldana are Dominicans and you don’t do that to them.”
In response, Ice wrote to Cardi, “no offense bardi its cus i have a dominican parent & a Black one,” leading the Love & Hip Hop alum to clarify: “My father is Dominican…I’m Dominican just like you. I also used other Dominicans as an example because as you should know a lot of times we get clustered into one because of the language. Also can you send me that pic you took of me wit ya camera from vanity fair? Thank youuu.”
Cardi recently appeared on Shakira’s new album Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran, guesting on the project’s opening track, “Puntería,” which hit No. 72 on the Billboard Hot 100. Earlier this year, she also released the singles “Enough (Miami)” and “Like What (Freestyle).”
Ice released her latest single, “Think You the Shit (Fart),” in January. The track debuted at No. 37 on the Billboard Hot 100.
