Emma Stone is in talks to team up with her life partner on the big screen just a month after her second Oscar win.
The 35-year-old actress – who was recently featured in a teaser for upcoming film Kinds Of Kindness – and husband Dave McCary are reportedly negotiating to work on a Universal film together according to Deadline on Friday.
If the untitled film is picked up it will star Emma with the 38-year-old former Saturday Night Live director at the helm.
This will not be the first time the power couple have worked together as they recently produced Jesse Eisenberg directed flick A Real Pain and Dave was an executive producer on Emma’s Showtime series The Curse.
Emma Stone and husband Dave McCary (pictured together in Beverly Hills in January) are reportedly negotiating to work on a Universal film together according to Deadline on Friday
The two met on the set of SNL in 2016 where Dave served as segment director over five years from 2013 to 2018.
Not much is known about the plot of the untitled film but Patrick Kang and Michael Levin wrote the original screenplay for the film.
The duo had been supervising producers of NBC and UTV’s Young Rock which chronicled the early years of Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson.
Weeks ago the first clip was released for Emma’s latest project with Poor Things director Yorgos Lanthimos.
The actress appeared alongside Margaret Qualley, Hunter Schafer, Jesse Plemons, Willem Dafoe, Joe Alwyn, Hong Chau and Mamoudou Athie in the first teaser for Kinds of Kindness.
The synopsis of the film is: ‘A man seeks to break free from his predetermined path, a cop questions his wife’s demeanor after her return from a supposed drowning and a woman’s quest to locate an extraordinary individual prophesied to become a renowned spiritual guide.’
Hopefully Emma’s partnership with the 50-year-old Greek filmmaker will mean success both at the box office and during Awards Season like their previous film together.
