Hudgens also added a short message in her post’s caption that referenced a line that she said in the first movie in the High School Musical franchise.

Her message read: ‘Do you remember in kindergarten how you’d meet a kid and know nothing about them, then 10 seconds later you’re playing like you’re best friends because you didn’t have to be anything but yourself?’

Hudgens previously spoke about working on the film series during an interview with The Guardian, where she noted that she did not initially envision herself working on lighthearted projects.

‘High School Musical was a fantastic journey, but it completely derailed me from where I originally saw my career going,’ she said.

The actress then stated: ‘I always wanted to be the indie girl; I always wanted to be in the movies where I’m playing a drug addict or a stripper or a prostitute. That was my goal since I was like, 11.’
