Shohei Ohtani and Mamiko Tanaka Take A Break to Hang Out With Ed Sheeran After Lamenting the Loss of Their Wife

Just a few days ago Shohei Ohtani confessed that he didn’t get enough time with his wife. Though he hoped that Mamiko Tanaka “missed him” there was a tinge of longing in Ohtani’s words too. But the Los Angeles Dodgers superstar finally got to have some entertaining time Mamiko in the Dodgers’ Charity event. What’s even better? The couple witnessed the concert of Ed Sheeran!

That’s right! Shohei Ohtani finally got to see a concert. Dressed in all black, the couple immediately stole everyone’s thunder when they showed up. Fans were in awe to see the Ohtani and Mamiko’s chemistry. However, what really set the internet ablaze was a story that Ed Sheeran posted on his Instagram handle.

In the story, Shohei Ohtani can be seen standing between Ed Sheeran and Mamiko Tanaka. The picture immediately sent the fans into a frenzy. Seeing two of their favorite stars together in one frame wasn’t something that they had expected. Especially because the two-way phenom is seldom seen outside of the baseball field. During the interview, Shohei Ohtani also commented on slowly opening up to new experiences.

Per the Japan News, Ohtani shared that maintaining his off-field life will get a little tougher going forward. “The season has just started, so I think it will get tougher ahead,” Ohtani said. “But I’m gradually getting a rhythm to my lifestyle, and as I get more accustomed to things, it will all become easier.” While the superstar was hopeful that things would become easier soon, he did experience something extremely new in this event.

Was this Shohei Ohtani’s first-ever concert?

Prior to the event, Ohtani answered some questions in the Blue carpet. Interestingly the X account by the username “shoheisaveus” caught a surprising answer by Shotime. When asked what was he looking forward to in the event, Ohtani revealed this was his first-ever concert. “This is the first time for me to attend a concert, so I would like to enjoy the concert itself first,” Ohtani said.

Though it is rare to see Ohtani anywhere other than the baseball field, it’s still quite surprising that this might have been his first concert. Even if it is, attending Ed Sheeran’s show might just be the perfect start that the 2x MVP needed. It seems with Mamiko Tanaka by his side, Ohtani is slowly becoming more open to other luxuries of life. And that’s great news for fans who are dying to get a glimpse of their icon.
