Mike Trout Injury Update – The Angels Star Reveals “Feeling Good” Amidst the Halos’ Continuous Downfall in His Absence

“I’m feeling good.” Mike Trout’s words rang like poetry to every Los Angeles Angels fan. Three weeks after his surgery to repair his torn meniscus, Trout has been slowly but gradually recovering. Though the 3x MVP’s return date is still unknown, his latest update on his health and the next steps that he’s about to take shows just how eager this Angels superstar is to step back on the plate.

Mike Trout spoke to the media before the Angels’ clash against the Cleveland Guardians (which the former lost 4-3). While the superstar still isn’t comfortable with walking, he revealed how his progress has been going relatively smoothly. But even though the Halos are struggling mightily without their golden boy, there’s little urgency in getting Trout back on the field. That’s a good thing because it’ll ensure that he doesn’t end up aggravating his issues.

Every day, it’s getting better. Just coming in rehabbing and just trying to get the strength around it back. It’s crazy how much you lose when you’re not really working on it,” Trout said, as per MLB.com. The Halos star revealed that he has been hitting the gym and doing various weight-training exercises. However, it’s nothing like running or jogging, but he’s quite close. But there’s still a long road ahead for Kingfish to swim with the sharks again.

Trout revealed that he has been receiving training twice a day at Angel Stadium. The star can now ride a bike and use an elliptical. So naturally, the next step for him is to start walking and eventually jogging on an Ultra G treadmill. The latter part is highly important because the treadmill reduces the impact of running on the legs. And once he’s successfully done that, the main part will be ramping up for his return to baseball.

Normally, injuries like Trout’s need six to eight weeks to recover. Trout’s currently three weeks into his surgery, and that bodes well for the Angels. With losses ramping up, the team’s hopes completely rest on Trout’s shoulders.

The Los Angeles Angels feel the heat without Mike Trout’s presence

Ever since Trout got injured, the Halos haven’t been able to sustain themselves properly. His absence has resulted in the Angels going 9-13 in the league. As a result, the Halos’ skipper, Ron Washington, hopes for Trout to return soon. “What team wouldn’t be eager to have Mike Trout back?” Washington said. “So we’re very eager, but we want him back healthy. You don’t want him to try to play through anything. So we’ve just got to hold it down until he gets back.”

But while Washington is playing it safe, there’s one thing that’s quite intriguing about this whole situation. How did Mike Trout get injured? The superstar has no answer for it, and neither do the Los Angeles Angels. Though he isn’t focusing on this detail right now, it sure will be interesting to know what led Trout down this path. But until then, the Angels fans can heap a sigh of relief. Their star is recovering, and maybe so will their fortune stars.
