Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. has missed his team’s last two games due to an ankle injury. The good news is that Beckham is expecting to return when the Ravens take on the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday, via Myles Simmons of Pro Football Talk.
Beckham had been limited in Baltimore’s first two practices of the week.
The 30-year-old signed with the Ravens on a one-year deal worth up to $18 million back in April, as Baltimore sought to provide quarterback Lamar Jackson with a reliable deep threat.
Through two games with the Ravens thus far, Beckham has logged five catches for 66 yards.
Beckham, who played his collegiate football at LSU, was originally selected by the New York Giants with the 12th overall pick of the 2014 NFL Draft.
It didn’t take Beckham long to establish himself as one of the league’s best wide outs, as he hauled in 91 receptions for 1,305 yards and 12 touchdowns in just 12 games during his rookie campaign.
He made the Pro Bowl in each of his first three seasons with the Giants, with his most productive year coming in 2015 when he caught 96 passes for 1,450 yards and 13 scores.
However, injuries began to overwhelm Beckham in his fourth season, as he played in just four games in 2016 and proceeded to miss the last four contests of 2017, which ended up representing his final season in New York.
The Giants traded Beckham to the Cleveland Browns that ensuing offseason, but the New Orleans native was a massive disappointment in two-and-a-half seasons with the Browns. Cleveland waived him midway through 2021. He ended up signing with the Los Angeles Rams, where he contributed to the team’s Super Bowl run.
Odell Beckham Jr. then missed all of 2022 with a knee injury.
The Ravens are 3-1 on the season.
