While we probably don’t need to remind you of this fact (how could you have missed your pals’ and fave celebs’ incessant social media updates?) this weekend marked Glastonbury Festival 2023. Yep, the hordes have descended upon Worthy Farm as more than 200,000 people have travelled to Somerset for the annual festival extravaganza.
Naturally, one of the most important parts of the weekend (besides a sneaky link in a tent) is the fashion. Festival fashion is a fine art, with this summer’s must-have items including some serious Y2K throwbacks including butterfly tops, belly chains, boho dresses, cargo skirts and tooth gems. At Glasto we’ve already seen the likes of Gemma Chan and Lily James rock some show-stopping fits, with the latter giving major 00s Kate Moss energy in an indie sleaze ensemble featuring a sheer af mini dress and waxed jacket.
But the fashion for attendees is one thing, while the style for performers is a whole other story. For those taking to the stage at Glastonbury, it’s a case of the bolder the better – which seems to be the fashion ethos adopted by Lizzo for the occasion. The pop star, flautist and YITTY owner took to the Pyramid Stage in a number of ensembles including a black and pink lace-up leather catsuit with detachable skirt and wraparound shades.
Later, she changed out of this Cat Woman-worthy fit and switched it up in a translucent pink boiler suit (perfect for dancing) and YITTY cap and then a catsuit featuring shimmery gold appliqué and fringing.
Hair and makeup-wise, she rocked a long, sea green wig and a smoky eye – and looked like *such* a rockstar.
Not one, but three iconic fits from Lizzo!
