Taylor Swift Puts a ‘Reputation’ Twist on Her Latest Preppy Miniskirt Look with an Unexpected Shoe Choice

Ahead of the Kansas City Chiefs’ upcoming match against the New York Jets at MetLife Stadium, Taylor Swift was seen in New York City, joining the celebrations for Blake Lively’s daughter Inez on September 30. Swift sported an oversized navy sweater paired with a pleated plaid miniskirt in blue, white, and gold. While her choice of attire exuded a preppy academic vibe, her ensemble received a touch of Swift’s iconic “Reputation” style with the addition of black leather combat boots, prompting speculation among fans about the release order of her re-recorded albums, with her self-titled debut possibly saved for last after 1989 (Taylor’s Version), which is set to release on October 27.

During the Tribeca soirΓ©e, Swift was photographed leaving alongside her stylistic opposite, Blake Lively, who donned a vibrant red and white ensemble, including a geometric print midi-skirt, a white crop top, and a cropped jacket in red, white, and pink, complemented by a coordinated pair of Nomasei loafers.

Notably, Swift has a notable connection to the Reynolds-Lively family, having referenced Lively’s three elder daughters in her 2020 song “Betty” from the Folklore album. In a 2021 SiriusXM interview, Ryan Reynolds expressed his trust in Swift and praised her decision to feature their children’s names in her music, deeming it “pretty damn amazing.” Although the couple welcomed their fourth daughter in February 2023, they have yet to reveal her name, leaving room for speculation that they might be waiting for Swift to do the honors.
